VANCOUVER – Electric Lightwave LLC, a communications network services provider, was sold to Portland-based Integra Telecom Inc. for $247 million and is moving most of its jobs to Portland. The combined company will employ 1,000. and have sales of $300 million.
Efficere Technologies, also of Vancouver, raised $1.8 million in venture capital from the Area American Electronics Association and the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum. The company, headed by CEO Mike Gerard and chief engineer Will Miller, have created a patented system that better connects microchips, computers and networks. The company wants to raise an additional $750,000 by the end of this year.
