Zino Society Awards Green Kudos (And Cash)

O Ecotextiles Inc., a Seattle company that makes environmentally friendly materials for drapery, upholstery and bedclothes, has been awarded $50,000 from the Zino Society's second annual Green-Socially Conscious Investment Forum Fund. The event (for which Washington CEO Magazine was the media sponsor) brought together eight select companies before the investment group to exhibit their business plans.

In addition to the award, one of the Zino Society's members invested an additional $50,000 in O Ecotextiles. The company is led by CEO Patty Grossman and her sister, Leigh Anne Van Dusen.

The Zino Society has over 225 members in Washington and has helped raise more than $8 million in angel investment funding for start-up companies.
