Paccar Revs up Medical Center

Bellevue truck maker Paccar Inc. has donated $1 million to Overlake Hospital Medical Center to set up the Paccar Education Center -- a 7,000-square-foot education facility intended to boost training for medical professionals and to ensure that residents of Bellevue and other suburban cities have access to state-of-the-art hospital care.

The building, which is planned to accommodate 330 people and house a 156-seat auditorium and two conference centers with integrated audiovisual systems, is expected to begin construction this year. Architectural firm NBBJ of Seattle is the designer, and GLY Construction of Bellevue is the builder.
