Washington CEO Magazine was honored three times this year at the annual Society of Professional Journalists Excellence in Journalism Awards banquet. Senior Writer Aaron Corvin won a second- place award in business news and features for "Leading a Web Advertising Revolution" (June 2007), which profiled aQuantive and its CEO Brian McAndrews shortly before being acquired by Microsoft. Contributing Editor Dean Paton won a second-place award in government/political news and features for "Finding Safe Harbor" (March 2007), which looked at problems at the Port of Seattle. And contributing writer Dori Jones Yang won a third-place award in business news and features for "Coffee Diplomacy" (May 2007), which explored Starbucks' international operations.
