I love my car - we saw the prototype before it
went into production and had to wait 5 years
to get one. I tell my husband that I want to
be buried in it!!!

In my senior year at LHS in Tacoma I had a little 3 window Ford Coupe that I was lucky to have and had some great mentors that helped me paint it and build a Hot engine for it. 58 years later I am a volunteer in the LeMay family restoration shop for the LeMay Car Museum.

I'm not really a car guy, but back in the day, I owned a Subaru XT6 (almost identical to the one in this picture). It was a GREAT car for a 20-something single guy living in Idaho: on-demand four-wheel-drive AND a turbo made it a great - and affordable - four-season sports car.

I purchased this 'Vette a few years ago because I wanted a cheap convertable for the summer. The previous owner said that this was a rare '79. As I found out, the 'corvette' decal on the left and right door panels was an option that found its way onto only a few cars. Yes, I love my Vette!

Yep, I'm a car nut, too. I had a lot of fun researching and writing this article and talking to John, Mike, Ken and Dennis about their collections.
My project car is in a different class, since it's Detroit muscle, built in 1982. But the parts are fairly easy to come by and I can do some of the work myself.
I had always wanted a Camaro and this is a good start. He's got a 350 engine, Holley 750 carb, brand new chrome exhaust and lotsa other fun parts.

Believe it or not, this is the third engine I've put in my car. The one that was in it when I bought the car in 2005 blew up two weeks after I gave the previous owner my cash? Chevrolet's stock engine for this car was a 305, so what I have now is a definite upgrade.
