Tanker Watch 2008: Maylasian spies infiltrate Pentagon Thursday, February 28, 2008 ·

By: Bryan Corliss

Jet Set

Obviously, there was no tanker announcement Wednesday afternoon. Instead, a top Pentagon official told Reuters yesterday that her "best bet" is that word on the decision about who gets the $40 billion contract will come down Friday afternoon.

You've probably heard the scuttlebutt about the Malaysia Sun story by now. Apparently the Sun's editors have taken it down off the Web site, but you can still find links to it in the blogosphere.

I'm more than a little amused that anyone took the report seriously - who in their right mind thinks that an online Malaysian newspaper is going to get the scoop on a Pentagon procurement announcement? If it had been for real, then Homeland Security needs to quit messing around with chasing Islamist terrorists and pay more attention to the real threat - Malaysian spies inside Crystal City.

C'mon people . . .
